Life in Another World as a Housekeeping Mage - Vol. 1 Ch. 4

holy shit, I actually just found this yesterday when looking for something else. Didn't expect it to update so soon!
thanks tl

I always like when an isekai starts with no language cheats, seems like only shoujo and josei authors do that.

But it is really annoying that the guild master and the party got away with a slap on the wrist for their crimes.

I really love tHis manga and I will patiently wait for the next chapter. I hope purchasing the volume will help support the author T^T

I nyoomed here so fast thinking I'd read something cute and healing....

This chapter hurt my soul a bit, but still, thank you Puni for the hard work and the feels!

meh her misfortune is too much. It's like the author purposefully wants to turn her into a damsel in distress and everytime she gets back up, the author is like "nah let's make her pathetic and make a man save her".
Her first experience with that party was an okay plot device since she was still new in this world and didn't know any better but everything after that is too much and now she needs to be saved again ? Just in time when the ML has learned of her past ?

@Akera93 that is if there is danger. she was selling stuff so small chance that noble wants to buy her knowledge or employ her.
if they know her reputation its not strange to want her as a maid.

@Akera93 Well you have to remember She's not an OP Other Worlder with The Cheat Skill of Plot Armor, she has very little magic when compared to other Battle Mages and only has a regular common knowledge of a normal citizen of Japan. Yes she studied the language and culture to a certian degree but she's not a "Super Genius 1000+ iq I can sense your blood lust before you entered my sight and you're already dead lol" person, she's a realistic OL stuck in a fantasy world.

All this time I thought her old party had r*ped her with how the story is mentioning men afraid to get close to her because of what happened

MY BABY YOU WILL SURVIVE YOU WILL BECOME STRONG I BELIEVE IN YOUR!!
also @Akera93, you should go read the novel. The manga kinda changed it up just a bit but if you read the novel you can see that she's not just some damsel in distress. And, in my view, I feel like you kinda disregard her strength and her independence that was shown in earlier chapters. She's quieter and withdrawn because of her trauma and yes it may be just a plot device but it is a side that we often don't see in these isekai stories because our MC is op

Wait, so her trauma is getting stuck in an oppressive party, getting worked to exhaustion, and then left behind? I mean, that's bad but... Is that it?

This is more or less the tale of anyone stuck in a black workplace that many isekai tales start with (before the isekai starts). It also doesn't explain why everyone around her would start avoiding her, it would make sense if she was attacked and violated, but if she was simply worked to death, you would think that would make people more protective/helpful towards her rather than to shrink back in fear that their existence alone would somehow spark trauma flashbacks. It seems that everyone sees her as someone so fragile that she can't handle normal human interaction outside of semi-scripted events (work/shopping/etc).

@frungy it seems author or editor want to sugar coat with the incident and don't want to make it r-16 so it ended up like this

@frungy we have only seen the POV of an outsider we're yet to see Shiori's POV to know what truly happened during those months, so I think is early to judge her experience with that party.

@Fui-nee have you read the novel? Was it different there? Please spoil me
