Not the strategy I would go with on members that have obvious ptsd about this boss.

Friends? Nope, I doubt you had any. At least one of them would have been playing with you, or at least chatting with you while playing the game.
Family? Well, you ignored them and played the game instead.
Job? Well, you "might" have had one since you were able to afford 5 laptops... but then you spent every waking hour on that game, probably causing them to fire you.
