Live Dungeon! - Vol. 3 Ch. 12 - Outstretched Hand

@CraniumAmbiguity I totally agree that the guild should also do their own PR campaign to show that one of their own, a very popular member, was not being blackmailed. This also looks poorly on the guild too if something like this was going on under the nose of the guild. The narrative said the guild and the news station had equal power, therefor their word should have some way as well, even more so when the guild says they held her captive on ransom when she stormed the building.
This whole thing is revolving around Amy as the center piece. The moment you let out that Solit is keeping her on ransom, their will be a huge shit storm on them instead. Sure no one will believe the "Lucky Boy", whom they all hate, but the guilds word is strong enough to put heat on them.

Instead he is going to beat the dragon with 2 of the strongest guild members. He is just "lucky boy", he gets lucky.

At the end of all this, he better get hugely compensated for not only the slanderous article, but also what the article conspired to do and has done to his daily life (and threats/attempts to his life).

Its upsetting how poorly and unrealistic this is all being handled.

@GrimGriefer That is another note I wanted to point out. Why does the guild have equal or less power than a news outlet? The dungeon in this world is created by GOD and he watches attentively. So an organization that regulates the dungeon and the adventurers there in should have the highest standings in the city.

At the way this is being written, I doubt that we would get that kind of satisfaction. This will likely result in some sort of compromise where the Mc's reputation just goes back to how it was before the article and Amy rejoins the party like nothing happened but with new party member. At best the reporter might become a scapegoat for the company.

This all reminds me: A good enough Minion Master, like a Necromancer type, can completely outperform a Tank quite often. While a proper Tank build in most MMOs can take a lot more damage than the average throwaway minion, it is usually a lot easier to control aggro with a cluster of multiple minions and even bodily obstruct enemies by crowding around them. Plus particularly with Necromancer type MMs, they tend to excel at battles of attrition since every dead enemy further empowers the Necro.

It was just a random thought. That a team-mate drawing too much aggro from the Tank with their high damage output wouldn't necessarily have the same problem with a Minion Master set-up.
