@Tatsuya-Kai interesting hypothesis there. Mine is that the ML was given a birthright when he got the holy sword my guess something to do with cutting down the Emperor as part of his destiny. In the original the Emperor turns evil and has to be cut down but what if this then creates a convenient excuse to rebel against the crown. The recent chapters with his backstory of when he was young makes me think this is a possibility. I'm not sure if i'm right would he go as far as to corrupt the Emperor so he can kill him or what.

Ares has been professing his interest/love for her for so long, and she never takes him seriously. He makes one slip up and suddenly he's the worse ml in the history of ever.
