Lonely Attack on a Different World - Vol. 3 Ch. 31 - There's No End? A Continuous Strike!

@starburst98 Not interested in spoilers, it was more of a rhetorical question. I'm saying the manga should've done a better job at explaining. The chapter's dialogue made it seem like they're revealing something but it only raises questions.

@theShear yes I saw that, but he never got them, as he didn't have the skill steal skill that class prez had. Wasn't that the entire point behind the arc of being in the city, that she got a chance to tell mc that she has the skill (for no reason) and then him asking for the class prez last chapter in the first place. I assumed that was why he left them alive too, so he could make class prez steal their skills

man, this guy's dialogue is shit
take some villainous speech and talk lessons, dammit
also, deus ex machina on the ivy?

@feha Yeah, I went a few chapters back and so far it's missing in the manga it seems. The Class Prez Skill allowed the stealing of skills while the target is alive meaning you can take skills of anybody while I think there is a way to take skills from people you kill I think but I don't remember the details anymore. I'm rereading it to see if it was mentioned in the earlier chapters.

@GerryCeryBery agreed, I reread the manga and unless I missed it I didn't find the explanation on how he manages to steal skills by killing. I think somebody told how in the comments which is where I read it it so I wasn't questioning it but rereading it now the explanation seems to be missing while MC acts not surprised.

Thanks for the chapter!!

Which chapter in the LN is this? The translated one is just up to chapter 15 and I'm on 11.

I’m pretty my understanding of what happened is that Tanaka has the ability to copy other people’s skills to a limited amount of times.
He used that to copy skills from the other students, one of which had Meddling, which allowed him to mess with the group dynamic by messing around with people’s positioning.
He might or might not have stolen prez’s skill and used it on the now dead delinquents, and has probably run out of charges on it around now.
His plan is to find the prez, copy her skill, and then using the now stolen steal skill still her skill permanently so he can permanently steal from everyone.

First vilain of the story and well... can't expect too much from a beginner author.
Pointless fight, MC just gonna cheat his way like he did with the goblin emperor.

@Takanomi

Pretty much.

Tanaka has "mimic," it allows him to copy a temporary / weaker version of other skills. He copied Plunder from the Class President, and then manipulated the class into factions and played them against each other. Once he got strong enough, he used Plunder (Mimic) to kill some classmates to steal their abilities. That's the downside to Plunder, you have to kill the target to take their skills. He specifically has killed all the delinquents and others, a total of 12 people.

A stated thing is that everyone's comfortable with the Class President (or Haruka) having Plunder, because everyone knows they would never use it against them. Also, Haruka keeps wondering if the Class President stole the "Extreme Libido" and "Unbelievable Sexual Stamina" skills from Goblins and Orcs, which is funny.

He left the Jocks alive intentionally to follow them to the Class President, but he didn't realize they had met with Haruka, so instead they went to Haruka for help and he healed them and made them leave, leaving him alone despite him being "weak," only a level 9. (Now 11.) This was the first mistake Tanaka made, expecting them all to team up against him.

The other mistake he made is thinking the "useless" skills aren't still "cheat" skills -- for example, Haruka has "Hikikomori," which makes him super powerful when defending his home. Guess where Tanaka just attacked him?

His final mistake was overrelying on game mechanics and numbers (math nerd, remember?) -- so he looks at Haruka's level 11 and thinks there's no way statistically a Level 40-someodd Tanaka can lose. But Haruka has literally infinite luck and several skills that screw with the leveling and power system (NEET, Loner, Jack of All Trades, etc), so he has no idea what's coming.

Is it going to end up like it always has been? Villain so powerful ever-smiling like he/she's winning already, MC got cornered, but plot f*cking armor to the rescue, MC somehow have a secret skill, or somehow the villain have a weakness that somehow known to MC, smug disappear, villain ded, or even worse, these f*cking p*ssies won't even kill those trying to kill him/her because they believe in Jesus or some shit, omfg.

if this manga is realistic the mc will die in the next chapter. unfortunately, mangas aren't known for being realistic
