Let's face it we've all been there. When your up to date on all your stuff.
Yes, i've looked around but i'm having a difficult time finding something NEW and INTRIGUING.
I'm mostly looking for a solid story line and well thought out plot. I'm open to trying something new so don't worry about genres. Great art is more than welcome.😊

NO SPORTS, MUSIC,SMUT, OR EXCESSIVE ECCHI PLEASE
(Well a little bit of well place or ecchi is ok)😏

Here are some of my personal favorites. Hope you find something good.

can you make your MDList go public or something so I can see what manga you've been reading?

These are mostly established ongoing series you can add to your own list that I'd recommend.

I picked up "Jigokuraku" recently, and it's got me hooked. Weird "ninja" island survival manga with frequent character deaths to keep you on edge.

"Noragami" 's releases are slow, but there's plenty of chapters to keep you busy with while you catch up. Very cool, sort-of-but-not-really battle manga take on Shinto-Buddhist/Ainu gods and their politics. Watch Bishamonten job like you've never seen a character do before!

More ninjas dropping like flies in "Azumi", but without any supernatural elements.

"Akatsuki no Yona" is about a runaway princess and her harem of body part-themed Power Rangers as they go about the country busting drug rings and kicking out foreigners.

Read "Chainsaw Man" and "Golden Kamui" if you haven't already.

If you'd rather want some unique, completed series to pass the time while your follows update, I'd recommend checking out "Keyman" and "Freesia".

I feel you OP. I basically have read everything. The ongoing stuffs that I find interesting are either slow to update or dropped by the scanlators. I’ve been checking mangas using the search function. Usually with “completed” tag. Excluding red flag tags like “isekai” or “adaptation” or “yaoi”, etc. Sorted by rating. I find the rating on mangadex is very reliable.
I basically have checked everything with rating above 8.00. A lot of the classics unfortunately have ratings below 8.00.

Based on the views on mangadex, I think not enough people read older stuffs from Rumiko Takahashi and Adachi Mitsuru. Yokoyama Mitsuteru has excellent historical mangas like Sangokushi. Osamu Tezuka’s stuff are also great but unavailable on mangadex.

Longer Doraemon stories called Daichouhen Doraemon are also completely scanlated.

Some other titles with low views that I find great: Kenji, Kaze no Sylphid, Kokumin Quiz, Peerless: The Legend of Edajima Heihachi, Debusen, Gundam Sousei, Scientia, Hikaru no Go, Sekai Oni, One Outs, Lone Wolf and Cub, Rave, Sket Dance, Gash Bell, Kekkaishi, Flame of Recca. To be fair the reason why they have low views is probably because people have read the titles before mangadex was born.

Mizukami Satoshi’s and Douman Sayman’s works are great, but you probably have checked them out before.

@REDRED just read this, I liked it, 66 chapters, completed, decent ending. I had been ignoring it thinking the description wasn't that great but glad I decided to read it..

Ooooh I recently read a super good manga! It was certainly interesting and kept my attention :)

It’s called spy x family and it’s about a spy who’s mission is to create a family and infiltrate a prestigious school to get his child/family close to the target.

The comedy, art, and writing are all excellent and it makes for a good read if you have the time. I fell in love with the well thought out characters and interesting plot points.

It’s very fun and light hearted but also fairly interesting! I do t think I’ve read a manga quite like it before.

(Also the main female lead is hella waifu material and like the romance is very good but not too in your face)
