Love is Still Too Early for Himeno-chan - Vol. 5 Ch. 39

Boy its going to hit him like truck-kun once he realizes why Himeno singles him out all this time.

I remember the time people came to my birthday parties, i also went to theirs. Simpler times.

That's looks so awkward.
Maybe I will be feel like that if I'm in that position.

@Richman
Yeah, I remember I'm like that when 7yo or something.

@justforthelulz
Had she invited her, she would have had to invite the boys group too, I suppose. And this is a [girls + (future) family] party.

Is there something I don't get about their card game? Are you supposed to keep your cards secret but the girls play it differently so ouji was confused?

I've been the only boy at a girl's birthday party when I was little, and it's SOOOOO awkward!!! You don't know what to do, and everyone pretty much ignores you because they're little girls who don't know how to interact with a boy, too.

Poor Ouji-kun.

She just drifted right into her fantasy bliss, how adorable. And buying nail varnish for her? He's growing up.

@starburst98 it's to do with the differences in play between groups of boys and groups of girls (in cohort). For girls, participation is often the most important part of play. For boys, it is moreso competition that provides the entertainment. The girls were playing completely honestly because winning isn't important, playing together is. Ouji was playing competitively, because for him, potentially winning is the reason to play a game.
It just highlighted how he seemingly comes from a different universe, and neither the girls nor Ouji knew how to bridge the gap even with honest intentions.

Does anyone else get a little annoyed when the Japs have a western wedding? They have their own unique traditions, yet go for the more western styles.

CHRISTIANITY WAS A MISTAKE WHITE PIGGU GO HOME

@tfwnosuccubusgf Wow wow wow ! It is the same as ask "why japanese wear western clothe like shirt and suit, they have their own unique tradition type"
A lot of thing have become common use and it have nothing to do with Christian. It just get using everywhere in the world. i celebrated Christmas for years and never even know a single thing about Jesus. And just like our, i sure they still doing their tradition ceremonial. But suit and wedding dress is common thing everywhere

@Tcof

Fair point. I suppose it is just an opinion of mine that tradition upholds culture and I feel that western sentiment encroaches on a lot places. It's like the world looks to the US and Europe and tries to emulate a little too closely. I'd just hate to see a culture become a sub culture.
