I said this last chapter and would like to say it again, but Nina's hair has been slowly growing. In the beginning, it didn't touch her shoulder, but now it goes past it.

@Ciel : Given the nature of the language, I think this is a case of the TL putting in the wrong pronoun.

They think it's Nina saying it, but it's probably the king.
He probably said:
"I know you're smart enough to not help her escape"
"But can you refuse her request to go together?"

i.e. Even if Nina won't choose to be the one leading Saintess's escape, if during that the Saintess ask Nina to go with her, will she be able to refuse?
Possessive man is possessive of his bunny.

Knowing she would die if she helped the Saintess escape and the King would be in unending pain without the saint, I don't see why she would be tempted to help her escape at all. Especially since after she died in the book didn't the saint eventually hook up with the King in the end any way? It's like her death was forgotten or a the very least totally futile.

@Greenletta : Yes, that's why he accepted Nina's request for Saintess to be able to leave her cage more (which increase the chance of her escaping) but won't let Nina meet Saintess for fear of the risk of that possibility.

Do keep in mind I don't know the RAW so that was just my speculation based on how often this lack of explicit term is an issue for translation.

@Ciel @Greenletta @WhimsiCat I got that the king said: I will allow the saintess to leave her cage but you can’t meet her, so Nina asked why, if he was worried she could help her she can reassure him she won’t do it. So I believe he anticipated her next request, that is: can we go together to meet her? So he could control she doesn’t help the saintess. But he said no. So I think there could be another reason other than prevent Nina to help the saintess... apparently he doesn’t like the saintess so much, doesn’t he?

Btw I’m either a native speaker, so I hope I was understandable
