John Wallis is credited with introducing the infinity symbol with its mathematical meaning in 1655, in his De sectionibus conicis.

That symbol didn't mean that until then, so it's believable that a medieval society wouldn't know it as infinity.

Thanks for the improved effort. Although I'm pretty sure it should still be Furio. Japanese don't know the difference between L and R anyway.

Also, it should be Fenris, not Fenlys. As in, Fenris the mythological wolf. Which would make her shortened name "Ris" (not Lys). Japanese authors aren't known for either originality in choosing names nor their knowledge in proper spelling.
