Giving the king's line a bit more thought, "idealism" is a poor word choice on the writer's or scanlator's behalf.
"Optimism" would've been better and true. Using that instead of "idealism" wouldn't have implied "having ideals is foolish."
The princess was correct in wanting confirmation of whether Fulio had sided with demons, but it's naive/idealistic suggesting they ask the very person under suspicion of being an enemy if they are an enemy. If your only info is that someone in town the kingdom is being visited by terrorists/jihadist/etc your enemy at war, it's a bad idea to lose the tactical advantage of having the first move.
Now instead, the king chose an infinitely worse alternative: let the retard handle it. Send the mentally-disabled guy with a sword to tame an already domesticated bear that's keeping the hornets' nest in check. Even if the king decided they were an enemy, sending anyone else had the possibility of listening during the confrontation.
Ugh, the frequency of spelling and grammar errors in this scanlator group's submissions over the past few months is aggravating me. And the leader DioBrando has yet to deign any of my messages about these errors with a response, let alone fixing the errors.
@Kizuro: You assume that they can tweak the spell to draw upon this hypothetical magic battery. For all we know, no spell can be modified beyond their established parameters (including existing variables that the caster can set), and this particular spell can only and must draw mana from living mages.
Those things you mention are generally a proofreader's job. Possibly typesetting error too. Which can then be missed in quality checking when working on multiple releases simultaneously.
The errors are somewhat noticeable, but it's more than readable compared to several translations. There are far, far, far worse scanlation efforts out there.
Rather than complaints about the group's work, offer to fill a position and help. I did learn of the word deign now after all. If the group still doesn't respond or refuses, leave it at that. In the end, you and I are readers. What's considered good enough to scanlation groups may or may not match what various readers want. And that's okay, since most groups aren't doing scanlations to make a living.
