What's the point helping the one who rejected you and treat you like shit? They don't deserve it.
Also the fake hero is just a useless coward. He only care about himself and always left the knights to die. He didn't even try.
To be fair, the fake hero got dragged into a war he had no part of, and he had the responsibility of "saving" Cryroad unceremoniously dumped into his lap because complete strangers judged him to be "special" or "the hero".
Much like how Banaza/Fulio doesn't really care about the war because it's not really his business, the fake hero also doesn't have a particular reason to care beyond making sure that he himself survives this mess.
@PhoenixStriker5251 yeah I read some more chapters and he only got called fake hero since. He was still an official hero in this chapter so I didn't know
To be fair, the king was right. Her idea was idealistic and a demon going back and forth to a human adventurer usually means that they are conspiring with each other.
To the readers, yes, she is the only wise one, but from the character's perspective, it's the other way around.
