I too was bullied back in elementary school (I'm male btw, replying to Kaarme w/o necro), and while it indeed was more physical, in the end psychological scars I got pretty much nullified my social life (read: any kind of human interaction except for 3-5 ppl) for a decade. Though in my case my teacher and mom just didn't give any fuck, so maybe for people with better luck than me male bullying might just be lighter, just, it wasn't for me.
