Machigitsune to Hito no Ko - Vol. 1 Ch. 1

Good art style, interesting end of chapter twist, and one of the first "historical" manga I've been interested in. Thanks for the scanlation!

Whoah wait whoah, you can't just drop a bomb like that after a cute no-trouble slice-of-life-esque chapter! I wonder where he gets his money from.... The mysterious recluse in manga usually ends up being an author/artisan of some sort

This is clearly not complete; why is it marked as such? Even the free sample (Japanese) is longer than this upload...
The sample, for anyone interested: https://www.cmoa.jp/bib/speedreader/speed.html?cid=0000177332_jp_0001&u0=1&u1=0&rurl=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.cmoa.jp%2Ftitle%2F177332%2F

@Dei-hime Old comment, so don't fret on it, but the "Complete" status on MangaDex refers to the publication status in the original country; which is to say that because the story is done its publication run in Japan with 1 volume out, it is "Complete". The status of the scanlation is something wholly different - as MD hosts various languages, each language would show an "END" tag at the end of the last chapter to be published in the country of origin. You can see the number of chapters available in the country of origin through the "Reading Progress" section of the work, where it shows how many volumes and chapters a work has in the country of origin. In this case, this story has 1 volume and 5.5 chapters, and when the scanlation team is done scanlating all 5.5 chapters, the "END" tag will appear on chapter 5.5.
