So ancestor won't tell Shamiko about the scars? At least Momo called Shamiko adorable.

It's a bit sad that Lilith was scared of the dark because she couldn't make light with her magic since the start, I wonder how many centuries took her to learn.
 
This series is so charming and delightful that it's easy to ignore the suffering, trauma, and grief that runs through it. You get to caring about the characters and suddenly realize that what you're caring about is very heavy.
 
Not your average cute girls magic story (without going full edgy suffering)
 
The first chapter Momo isn't wearing her new hairclips is also the chapter where Shamiko isn't around, eh? Coincidence?
 
This is a chapter about a kid try to please her girlfriend's ancestor in order to be handsome in her girlfriend's eyes.
 
Momo handles the ancestor much better than Seiko by using the old carrot and stick (and some blackmail 😅)

Thinking about it, Momo's deviousness is rather relatively cute/comical for the magical girl standard. With Lilith's long dark isolation, Shamiko being almost crushed as a child by the seal and the fact that demons used to be treated as xp stockpiles by several light clan members... Even the current Momo is angelical in comparison...

Dark side, er, aside, Shamiko says the outfit is embarrassing but it's a lot better than her combat outfit. Not simply that, I would say that goth lolita style suits her quite well.
 
Just as Momo said at the beginning of the chapter, Lilith had it coming. All the trash talk got her into this situation and now she gets blackmailed.
I do like that first panel in the baths where Momo blushes. Despite going in with Lilith, it's still Shamiko's naked body, so she is super conscious of it~

Momo's scars are certainly a grim reminder of how harsh this world actually is outside of this peaceful town. This chapter did well at portraying the suffering of both sides (with Lilith suffering in the darkness for centuries) without actually being too heavy. I want Momo and Lilith to get along, even if they have this love-hate relationship. After all Momo will become part of her family one day hehe

Small correction, probably...

I think on page 15, last panel, first bubble is spoken by Shamiko (if the bubble's shape is not confusing me.) If so it should read instead as "I'll lend you my body again sometime"

I don't write this often in favor of talk about the content, but seriously thanks for the hard work on this charming manga. I like this enough to buy the official translation when it comes out... or maybe even the original volumes if it take too long for that, though my japanese is at a rather basic level...
