Also anyone notice how Momo was suddenly doing well and enjoying herself whenever Shamiko was watching her?

The way I see it, Momo's dispirited mood made a 180° change from Shamiko joining to help (even though Shamiko did essentially nothing, lol)

The situation changed for Momo from meaningless effort to an opportunity to show Shamiko her skills.

Although any opportunity to point out how much Momo loves Shamiko is a good one, I think this is one time where it's not actually the point.
Momo is denying that she is enjoying herself, but I think the point of this chapter's Momo scenes was that she secretly actually has fun doing all these handcrafty things. She is quite good and goes overboard on them, which shows not just skill, but also investment. She also stopped looking super dead inside and didn't talk about cats anymore. You have to consider that Momo is doing all that work even when Shamiko isn't around. Just like Shamiko is thinkin "Momo sure is enjoying herself".

This kinda goes with the whole healing process Momo is going through. She is lazy and has no drive since her past was shitty, but recently she starts to get more invested when people drag her into something. She suddenly can do things other than just beating bad guys up. I'm just as relieved as Shamiko is.

I think that is part of it, but considering that Momo suddenly did all the work so suddenly and quickly, it me made think she wasn't putting in much effort until that point. Then again, this may be immediately after the last chapter with no time in between. I had assumed at least a day or two had passed and Momo and Mikan had been helping out through all that time.

I'm using page 2 as comparison. Anri, Momo and Mikan were making pom-poms with Momo in a bad mood and going on about cats, then Shamiko joins and at Momo's next scene she is already industrious.

But yes, now that I think about it Momo does look like she is enjoying herself so just trying to showcase herself can't be it.

It could be that Shamiko's presence shifted the mood for Momo to give it a try and find it gratifying, or like you said, she was already invested but being tsundere about it. I still found the change a bit too quick and stark (though that can yet be rather for the comedy).

Edit: I fail too see the need for sarcasm, as nowhere am I implying Shamiko is all Momo thinks about (you make a strawman argument with that)

To be fair on page 2 Momo had just started helping out, so it's pretty much her initial resistance. Shamiko staying with them is not once even really brought up and doesn't seem to have any relevance to Momo's mood. In fact she tells Shamiko to do something else because she is already working on it, so her presence really seems to be a non-factor.

As impossible as it seems, not everything in Momo's life revolves around Shamiko (lol)

It's not necessary for Shamiko to be beside of Momo to change her mood. Working for a common goal can be enough I think, even if they work separately. In addition, they would (and did) come across each other frequently. I don't see that as a non-factor.
