Thanks for the translation. Hope Akihito can get the next few chapters out a little quicker. Just like, a month faster.

got lost when faputa mentioned being of stone and prushka, whats all that mean??

@CalamityCallout

When people get cursed by the Abyss and die with strong emotions, sometimes they turn into the soulstones that are carved into White Whistles. Bondrewd was making them. Prushka turned into the soulstone that was carved into Riku's White Whistle. Faputa calls them "beings of stone". She can tell there's a soul inside, and she can hear what it's saying. Prushka's stone was calling out because her soul felt trapped. By bringing the stone to the whistle carver, Prushka's soul was given freedom, and she became a White Whistle.

Some thoughts...

So Reg was sent upwards, from possibly below the 6th layer, to find "Haku" (ultimate value). I can only assume he was sent by Riko's mother to find Riko, but for what purpose?

By the time he reached the Narehate village, he had run out or almost out of "rewriter" (Incinerator) charges, so perhaps he used his last one to save Riko at the beginning of the story. If that's true, then a significant boost of electricity seems able to recharge it.

He lost his memory for some reason, I thought it was because of the first recharge but he recharged again at Bondrewd's place and didn't lose his memory, so perhaps he lost it somewhere between the 6th and 1st layer during his initial ascent.

When Reg met Faputa, he was speaking modern surface language, NOT the ancient language of Gabu and Vueko. He must have learned it from Riko's mother?

Did Faputa "do it with Reg" before he left, on page 39? What did she mean by this?

Neat that Faputa's "bra" is actually what looks like Reg's goggles. He also had some sort of stick or weapon on his back, wonder what that was.

Neat that Wazukyan* actually seems to be wearing a helmet of some kind, and his real head inside very closely resembles his human head.

Wtf is this? It's just pure torture porn at this point with little kids.

Jesus Christ, CAN WE PLEASE PROGRESS WITH THE PLOT??

i remember everything so this chapter is. wow. just. hm. stomach disten--- i wow hm

@tanukihat I like the idea that he used the last charge to save Riko. If anything, that could be where he lost his memory. The charging up doesn't lose anything, it's only when he fully runs out that he "resets", perhaps.

If he was already traveling at the behest of Lyza by this point, it could be her weapon on her back, explaining how it got to the 4th layer. Why he dropped it there, maybe a request?

Some manga display a per-character recap or a short summary of what's been happening on the first few pages. I find these extra useful for manga with long windows between releases.

Page 28 is desktop material!
The art generally is a mess, but that painel was amazing.

@tanukihat
So Reg was sent upwards, from possibly below the 6th layer, to find "Haku" (ultimate value). I can only assume he was sent by Riko's mother to find Riko, but for what purpose

The most obvious guess considering the facts we know:

to save Riku from the cataclysm that happens from 2 in 2 millenia, killing and burying the city formed on the mouth of abyss.

Along the series vary points was leaked in this way:
1. the praying skeletons in the first layer, separated in sections with 2 thousand years of difference.
2. The orphan kid (Kiyui) friend of Riku becoming sick and recovering after he left the city to the medical boat in the ocean.
3. Jiruo recently visiting Ozen, reunited the facts above and almost declared all the sentence.
4. And finnaly the ship in the 3th layer wall, showing that in past it was in the surface and by time, is getting deeper (so as the skeletons and ruins)

All these hints permit state that the abyss in slowly sucking the surface and is going deeper, what we can confirm just in the next layer, and arc (probably the last one)

I don't know why my last post was reported as spoiler since we are in the very last chapter of this only manga (neither novel, neither book) series.

Am i a dangerous time traveler? Well, hiding the theory above this time, anyway.

Yes, it is hard to admit, but we saw a "belly bulge" there. And a "shota belly bulge".

Err... Deal with that, anime adaptation.
