place your bets: 1) trope thuggish looking adventurers that are known hoodlums / bandits but a combat centered guild lets them get away with it 2) trope adventurers that look scary but are just wanting to be nice to the noob looking newcomers 3) trope bandits scouting noobs to trick/waylay who actually were the ones who stole/traded/did something to the FMC, and now want another payday.
