Mahou Shoujo Gakuen no Suketto Kyoushi - Vol. 1 Ch. 2

SO YU GONNA DO ANYTHING THAT FRAN ASKS YOU TO DO?
REALLY FRAN? YOU GOTTA BE JEALOUS JUST LIKE THAT? DO YOU HAVE ANY RIGHT TO BE JEALOUS?
YEAH RIGHT MOM GO FOR IT!!!! TELL HER MOAR!!!

Fran's fiance died 10 years ago, mc awakens with no memory of his past 10 years ago in the elf forest, i'm sure that's just a coincidence.

Really? Non-psychotic women characters? Mature ones, well-aware of psychological nuances and traps at that, without using them for their own vile agendas? Holy crap... what is this, my birthday?

Her mother is kind of shitty, engaging her daughter with guy eight years older. I am not that knowledgeable, but isn't it what some may call grooming? It's definitely not the healthiest relathionships when you introduce your ten-year-old daughter to an eighteen-year-old guy and say that she has to marry him in the future. I am generally against arranged marriages, but this one seems especially bad. The guy has a mostly formed independent pesonality, while the girl is still a child, whose personality and worldview are easily affected by other people.

@IronHeavy So what? Why shouldn't i use it? If it is medieval times(besides it is not, it is culturally closer to renaissance or new times), it makes it less harmful? Yeah surely it may be traditional, but shouldn't people think for themselves and not blindly follow some stupid traditions? On side note, just getting engaged is one thing, but 10-year-old girl spending time with boy much older than her, who she knows as her future husband, is another thing. It may cause fuckton of future problems, because she won't develop independent personality.

@GrayBypasser No, people shouldn't think for themselves, they need to blindly follow traditions, at least, the nobility should do this if they want to keep the power they have, even if you are going to marry a newborn, that's how they stand at the top. The nobles want power, not love; and for keeping their family alive, there are things they need to sacrifice. And, it may sound a bit harsh but, in medieval times, women don't need an independent personality, they are just tools for bonding nobles' families together.

@IronHeavyAll you've said just proves my point, their actions aren't morally right. Power is the instrument to achieve happiness, not a goal in itself. By robbing your child of free choice, you deny them having their own notion of happiness. This just proves she is a shitty mother, who forces stupid traditions on her daughter. I don't know why you go on about medieval times and women being tools for bonding, because it is clearly shown that noble woman in this manga can be a head of the family and a headmaster. And coming back to said medieval traditions, just to be clear, all those who make others follow them are assholes, that's all there is to it.
By the way, after her fiancee's death she wasn't reengaged with someone else, which shows there is a possibility to remain single without repercussions.

Was about to drop this series but the mom pulled me back in still don’t like the way they treating him taking advantage of him

The mom and Elf seem more suitable than the girl, swear, god....started reading hopping it doesn’t pull shit.
