An interesting side story with some good and even great elements, but I feel like they could've been tied together better, and some of the villains' motivations seem sketchy, and some of the battles are a bit of a letdown. Definitely readable though, I got all the way to the end. The problem with any side-story or followup to the original Madoka Magica Anime though, is that the original Madoka Magica is so good, that almost anything will pale in comparison to it.
