I'm just gonna call it right now since I can already kind of see it heading in this direction. But my theory is:

The mastermind behind everything is definitely Lunamaria. She wants Eddy for herself for whatever "dumb/spoiled/naive/pampered noble lady" reason so she took advantage of whatever hatred Selvess had against Eddy to make him cast the curse. More than likely, he was probably either a bully to Eddy in childhood whom Eddy defeated or he's jealous of all his hard work in school being walked over/not acknowledged by others because of Eddy since he's a powerful black hair mage. So yeah, Luna is definitly the big baddie behind this mess and our poor Selvess is also a victim here of this dumb noble lady on an idiocy suicide mission. My greatest desire after all of this is done and fixed is for Fillie to sock that twat. >:3
