@Allexio For someone so obsessed with the law and facts you're really bad at reading what people said. I did not say legal age of marriage. I said age of consent. Those are two very different things. You have been off basis almsot the entire discussion because you don't pay attention to the details of the discussion and instead only get broad strokes.

@Allexio No, we are not 'talking about marriage' we were actually talking about people saying it was creepy for Joshua to like Liz, and how Liz being considered a 'kid' is just a modern social standard. Marriage was brought up as an example, however the conversation was never explicitly about marriage. In my first post I very clearly speak of referencing when someone is considered an 'adult'. So no, not only is my point not non-existent, you'er just a dumbass who can't read the actual opening post before you chime in. If you actually read my first post you would see perfectly how it fits in, and how it proves that "adulthood" shifts with the times. Stop trying to look cool and have the last word, cause all it's doing is making you look like an absolute idiot.
Edit: To clear this up cause you almost certainly wont understand. The only one talking exclusively about marriage was you, and your misquoting of facts. Notice how I bring up the point about age of consent in japan "As a final point". This means that it is a separate but related notion to what I have already said to you. And Note that in the post I specifically say age of consent, and I go on to relate that to modern standards and legality, and how you shouldn't speak about standards if all you know are your own. No where is this section of the post 'attached' to discussing marriage. You just have low reading comprehension.

I took a glance at the comments and noticed that there's a whole bunch of arguments here completely invalidated by the fact that the age of adulthood in this setting is 16. By the standards of the culture we've seen laid out before us, this is blatant cradle robbing. The fact that he's harboured these feelings for what's probably an extended period of time hammers in just how much this is cradle robbing since I seriously doubt they came to be within the last week.
