Why do they need to do this exchange in each chapter, sometimes more than once? I mean, the thing about Lily staying with Leonard. It's getting a bit annoying, we've already discussed it several times, let's get a move oooooon!
I can't really wrap my head around Jill and Lily's ages. Lily's supposed to be 16 yet has this much work experience? And Jill I think was said to be 3?! I can't believe that.
@sweet-potato You need to remember that Lilly is around 30 when it comes to mental age and that she cared for the Crown Princess since she was younger (and her experiences growing up in a family-owned restaurant). Additionally, since her previous mother died when she was young and her father busy with work it was her that took care of her three younger siblings 24/7 from early on.
In terms of Jill it was only said that she was three when first signs of mana appeared. Her family then looked her away for an unspecified amount of time but considering that it was said that her mana several times went out of control and injured others during her confinement this situation must have lasted quite a while, considering that we can assume that out-of-control mana probably isn't a daily occurrence based on Leonard's previous explanations.
@sweet-potato Lily is 18 (I know one chapter said 16, but I remembered her mother pestered her about marriage once she turned 18 and that inconsistency seemed weird to me so I checked the raws and Lily's indeed 18). She has all her memories of her past life with her so obviously she is far more mature than normal 18-year-olds, even in the terms of these types of societies and also more capable, leading to her getting more unique jobs since the beginning. Jill is six, and she is matured for her age due to her upbringing (basically, fending for herself or trying to not be a bother and a nuisance because she actually knows parents' love is not unconditional). That is my read on their mental vs physical ages anyways.
What bothers me is the things Lily says - being with you is my joy, etc... and she says Leonard makes people misunderstand?... you're both doing it, darling, might as well just marry him for real so you don't have to keep "correcting" people.
