Maid kara Haha ni Narimashita

I understand now. I know why Leonard has such a problem with interpersonal relationships. He's an Asperger! He's brilliant at the technical aspects of magic, but he's totally clueless about relating to people especially women who are trying to seduce him.

@jrandom42:

This actually seems reasonable to me; or at least he feels like kin to me. However, his awkwardness goes beyond just that; Asperger's alone isn't going to end up with you thinking tying up a kid in your basement (remember ch. 1) is okay. Combine it with a really weird upbringing and it becomes semi-plausible, I guess...

However, in Japan I don't generally expect anyone to deliberately make a character with Asberger's; I don't think it ever entered the public imagination in the same way it sort of did in the U.S. a decade or so ago (?). On the other hand, the traits associated with it—something like, sharp and logical, but finding humans and society difficult to work with on account of how confoundingly illogical they are—make up a sort of recognizable sort of person no matter where you go.

This Manga isn't great, but I keep coming back with each new release for some unknown, subconsciousness reason.

Thanks for your hard work on this manga! I liked it enough to read it twice with some time in between.

Read up to chapter 10 and... Ehm, I can't get behind this story at all. Maybe I just couldn't find a pairing between an emotionally stunted guy and an overly sentimental girl who just can't get over a previous relationship that's over at least more than decades ago (considering she's reincarnated), romantic. Add to that a traumatized child who looks at least 8 years old to not have any real visible trauma at all and was able to bounce back happily so simply just doesn't feel very believable. Dropped

This is slow and frustrating to read but at least it’s finally going somewhere. Glad i stuck it out.

Nothing wrong with slow burn but they sure spend a lot of time talking about how they arent in love or married for a romance manga..... I dont think their situation is even that complicated or hard to understand just "we both adopted this girl but we're not together" thats all u have to say. The stuff about her getting over her old love is interesting btw she was a teenager when she died afterall

Bad writing. The arts passable, but the plot is a mess. There isn't any character cohesion either. I tried to like it but just couldn't. :(

I just finished ch.1 and now I'm immediately not following it

It's just that you made me hate ML
and FL too in the process

The story is slow but it’s fine because the character interactions are adorable.

This story is great. It made me learn about children and the responsibilities that come with it. I have never wanted kids and thought giving up my job and dreams for something like that is not for me but this story showed me that someone can love cooking and taking care of children but still be a unique person. I've always read stories about strong mc's striving for a goal but I never thought maintaining a family is also something you need to work towards. It shows how a life with a family like that is worth giving up some our your dreams and I love it. All in all, it was slow but extremely genuine and warm. It is something I want to come back and read again because I want to remember what a family and actually taking care of it means.

Edit: tbh I think this should be josei. I have even thought it would look better with an art style of a josei. For anyone looking for shoujo, this probably isnt it.
