@CKN well that's what happens when a comic gets an anime. With more potential readers comic from watching the show, there is more incentive for people to pick it up. Also some translators may themselves have found the manga from the anime. It is likely the case that after the anime ends the push for more chapters will get stronger with people who only watching the anime and then transfering over to the manga because they are hooked.

The problem with some anime is that many of their viewers transfer to the manga and read past the second season anime. If someone knows what happens they don't feel as motivated to watch episodes that just repeat the things they already read.

Based on this I have a hypothesis that anime where the first season meets directly with the manga then changes direction in story while keeping everything else the same, like if the main character made a different decision and ended up with a different path due to that choice, then that anime could keep it's following into season 2, while also maybe gaining more followers due to the manga readers interest in more stories. This could also avoid the ending issue since ending the anime or the manga with a closed ending with everything resolved would not have a negative comparison to the other medium.

If this was done it would likely lead to a lot of fan theories like what happened with all the interactions that the main character never took part in due to their change in path. This could promote fans stories that are based on the characters making different decisions.

All of this is only if the story is actually good, but this could likely be used after the original manga has already shown promise.
