The issue with official releases is that we're at the point where, were one to happen, we'd likely need to wait years for anything to catch up. It happens all the time with e.g. visual novels where something with a fan translation making decent progress is stalled out forever because it's officially licensed. There's a particular VN I have in mind that was mostly ready at least 4 or 5 years ago and still doesn't even have a release *date*.

Were this manga to get licensed and Misfits to stop translating it (as they probably would), it would probably be 2022 before we caught up to where we are. Even releasing 6 volumes a month (which is already more than 1 a week, so 4 a month is probably max), it would take until 2021 for us to catch up.
