Majo no Geboku to Maou no Tsuno - Vol. 4 Ch. 19 - The Witch's Servant and the Land of the North (1)

"Rei and love will be alone together"....Isn't that supposed to be "Rei and Lloyd will be alone together"?

god damn is it weird to read these new-age pronouns.
"The author changed their mind"

WHOSE MIND???

@Xxjuggernaut
Spaniard is titillating every girl(como siempre) Gender Bender Bro is titillating every guy(as always) the kids are being kids(as always) and no one's fucking(yet)

Don quixote is shit - I grew up reading it
And term trap as nothing to do with your Hirschfeldian bullshit. There are no "trans" in this manga

I’ve never seen nor heard “trap” used as a slur before. I can understand the possibly undesirable connotations from it, but like... really?

After a google search... Seems like it’s even on Wikipedia‘s list of anti lgbt slurs, but even that itself acknowledges it was originally applied to crossdressing cosplayers. Trap is just a one-syllable word with a memetic origin, tbh.

Like... I see a lot of words in that list that were slurs, but “trap”? I see more people use that term to affectionately describe their “waifus”. Like, I’m seriously trying to think of a situation where “trap” is someone’s go-to insult.

@Xxjuggernaut rei likes arsenio but is like 'fake married' to lloyd. lloyd doesnt appear to like anyone romantically(atleast yet) but feels its his responsibility to be with rei because of how rei became a girl. but lloyd is also protective and i guess greedy so he wants to be the one to kiss eric(kissing eric changes his gender) instead of arsenio. eric wants to seduce arsenio so arsenio and rei dont become a couple, because he trusts lloyd to protect his brother more than arsenio. and arsenio likes rei, occasionally gets seduced by eric, but ultimately doesnt feel he can be with anyone because hes not human.

Entertaining chapter, especially now the world has widen abit than the usual raid to the maou castle.

Now, I feel like I might get some heat for what I'm about to say, but I prefer talks about this new age sexuality thing be excluded from entertainment. As plot device, sure, but when real life arguments are brought in things starts to get messy. Tbh, I dislike these things about trans and sexuality because I feel like most of the time it is more like being forced to play a game which rules aren't privy to the common people and is constantly changing at whim. There are more classifications appearing by day, those flags and colours and it is difficult to say things because suddenly certain words become "slur". For a culture which promotes freedom of choice as their way of life, I find it ironic for them to impose rules to those outside the circle(s). Everything is a hidden landmine, it's suffocating.

Let's just enjoy story as stories, shall we?

@Talismaster I'm guessing you've never payed a visit to a twitch chat before. "Trap" carries a negative connotation because even if applied to a "waifu", it still has the meaning of "ha, this thing tricked you don't you feel foolish". And I've seen so many characters distilled down by that slur rather than actually letting people know the rest of their personality.

@saredesu i personally feel that this manga has been much more free than the usual talk about lgbt. it seems to be deliberately avoiding strict labels in favor of, "everyone is different and you can understand them better as an individual person if you don't try to match them to one specific identity group." in this way, i like how this story handles it because it's better than real life talk, but i understand how its relation to that real life talk could make it less enjoyable for some

I refuse to acknowledge trap as a slur, because an androgynous crossdresser is in fact a trap for the normal person. Eric transforms back when kissed, so yep, he’s a trap too...
...
Unless you dig that sheet.

Now, why do people feel the need to bring politically correct BS into manga, movies, and TV?
I really don’t want to keep suffering from this BS in my escape from reality.

look at this dude saying trap is a slur. No one wants to read about your shit political take when reading a fucking comic you absolute cretin fuck

i really don't like to think that trap is a slur, but it is
it's not a definition than will change that but how people use it, and some (stupid) people use it a slur and so it became one and we pretty much can't do shit about the only solution is the LGBT+ community to take it for them self (like weeb that pass from a slur to a community)

ps i kinda like political theme in entertainment, it's always a opportunity to learns about a way of thinking but at lest it's more fun that a video that just talk about that and nothing else so yeah i hope this manga go at the very least a little beyond the other Gender Bender manga about identity and genre

I dunno where trap is a slur but in anime community it just normal to call someone trap when describing characters and have no negative meaning to it.it just a fast way to describe certain characters.
