Major Milestone Reached!

Nice great job guys!
I also think that KM got too cocky. They knew they were so big they started shoving down virus' malware and porn down our throats. They censored chapters with no apparent rhyme or reason. At a certain point I was a huge KM fan, not because of their catalogue. But for other reasons that were entertaining on their site. Although I still supported my favorite scanalators, I would go as far as turning off my adblock on KM and donating.
I had to stop this when they started becoming dangerous if I didn't have 100 different adblocks running. But when they started to then ban adblockers, they alienated their entire community.

You guys made amazing progress. But KM litterally decided to hand you victory on a silver platter at some point. I mean if you check their reddit for past year its only been people crying and complaining... It's sad. But we can all be glad because of this!

LONG LIVE BATO.TO 2.0 MANGADEX!

Well, you've got r/manga on your side. Its how I got here and why i'm staying here.

You guys are awesome! You definitely deserve the number one rank... here's hoping you guys can push KM into obscurity! :D

Congratulations!

Congregations to the best manga site out there!!

Something I would love as a feature in the future is a simple "funny" button on the comments. Like how there is a funny button on Steam reviews. That but on comments. I have seen comedy gold written that made me laugh in real life but not commented that it was funny or that I appreciate their effort just because it is bothersome or the thought of it not sounding genuine.

Anyway, would love to see something like that so everyone out there that makes us laugh knows how much we appreciate them :)

That is amazing news.

I remember back when batoto came onto the scene, while sites like mangafox/mangahere reigned. It didn't make a big dent but the philosophy behind it was admirable and you could actually just ignore the rest of what's on the internet if you so wished.

So when it closed, I was sad. But then MangaDex came, with a fury I've not often seen. It's true that batoto had become complacent over the years and you could tell by the end, Grumpy no longer had the passion for it.
MangaDex was different in that regard, a lot improved and very quickly. And as far as money goes, I'm glad to know the site can self-substain and manage its user growth as the same time. You managed to define the site as more than just the scanlators' aggregator and I think that's good for the community as a whole.

So, as the new king of aggregators... Long may you reign!

This is big news and a well deserved reward for the hard work. Not only has the MDX website a giant libery of mangas, manwhas, manhua etc to choose from, but also a thriving community of scanner, translators that comes together to deliver quality stuff to people who wants to enjoy the vast world of different worlds the manga brings to the table.

I will transfer some 💲coming days to help out a little with maintaining the website and to help expand the MDX community ever further.

Keep up the work 👍🎊🎉🥂

Wow.....
Congratulation guys
Choosing MangaDex as my first online manga reading site and as my favorite place seems worth it
Even though sometimes the DDoS attack is annoying, doesnt mean i need to leave you guys
Support you guys seems really worth it
Kudos to y'all !!!!!

This is the start of a new character arc where Holo doesn't stop adding new features and you guys slave away to get them out, so thanks for all you've done in this project and we cheer for more success in the future😊

Is it possible that manhua hosted on m.wecomics.com comes back to MD? I mean that site is forbidden to us in the EU I guess, cuz I always get 403 Forbidden error when I try navigating to it and even with a US proxy it's the same. No clue what's wrong with it, but the manhuas they took were quite interesting and it's a shame most of them got dropped by their scanlators out of fear of tencent and the official version doesn't work here.

Congratulation! I moved from kissmanga aswell although there are still a few features I liked over there that aren't here : ranking of popular comments like reddit and sorting Manga by genre by last updated in OUR language. But I have expectation they'll appear somedays. Though let's be fair, kissmanga was English-only and you have multiple languages so the ground isn't totally equal on this.

Just went to the kissmanga subreddit and see that every post is either about the maintenance, broken page or people leaving kissmanga and I just burst out laughing.

I think it is because you are respecting translator wishes and not hosting licensed stuff that you are able to grow, that and the follow feature.
