Mangadex loading pretty slow

For some reason Mangadex has been pretty slow for me after the latest maintenace

@zalagires As it has already been written, the reason why mangadex is slow is because we are all at home, so there is more traffic.
No matter which part of the world you are in, quarantine is worldwide. :)

@Ifrittuccia (From SE Asia also) Actually if I VPN in to the US, the site loads OK, but removing the VPN makes the site slow, so I'm not sure if it's a pathing issue on the service provider side...

@ifrittuccia @mute_sas if you are in the SEA region, the routing over there is very bad right now, and there are no servers there, using a VPN to USA or Europe will solve the problem,

@SFace and @Darkaeluz I have never used VPN, I use the European server I believe and it always depends on how many we are online on mangadex.
Sometimes it goes slow and sometimes it doesn't, but it's not always fortunately. ^^

@ifrittuccia are you in the SEA region? because I'm in SA and here MD has stabilized and the connection is good, if you are in SEA I suggest you try a VPN, MD has trouble with that region because they don't have servers over there and the providers are bad

@Darkaeluz Forgive me, I'm not very practical.
I live in Italy, but the problem has already stabilized for a few days, except in certain times but only for a few minutes.
I don't know how to use the VPN and if it is possible I would prefer to do without it to avoid doing damage. '^^

@ifrittuccia oh, then there's no problem, if you're in Italy then that means that it isn't your connection but the server loads that are to high, the VPN is for those who live in South East Asia, like Philippines, Indonesia, etc

Swear that mangadex has been borderline unusable for a significant portion of it's lifespan. Lots of DDoSing, host migrations, insufficient server issues, etc. I like the site and it's nice that they try to stay away from of the more scumbag stuff that scanlation hosting sites do, but it feels like the good guy is getting fucked. Sites like kissmanga do everything wrong and stay up since they stay in the dark but the site that stays in the light and keeps in a legal gray area gets reamed by every possible company/group that wants a piece

We keep upgrading servers but the last upgrade only accounted for normal growth. We didn't expect growth coming from the world in quarantine and MR dying lol.

Right now the database side of the site is at breaking point and we're on the process of upgrading. But a site the size of MD can't be upgraded overnight lol.

I live in SEA and to access one chapter it need 100% amount of luck and a God will to be able to load but if i use VPN it only take 1 second to load, so its very bad in here

SEA problems are simply due to the fact that the CDN doesnt have servers in that region yet.

IDK if its just me or what. Since the new update i can't load the older chapter on MD, man it took forever, my signal is good adn it still keep going round round.
