After the issues of last week, mangadex.org is no longer reachable from Ukraine. Vpn helps but very slow. Any ideas about why this started happening just after the maintenance?
@Tarek3010, mangadex uses anti-ddos service from Russia. This service has same IP-address as site of the leader of russian terrorists denis pushilin - https://denis-pushilin.ru/. That's why Ukraine blocked. Mangadex admins don't really care about Ukrainian auditory, that's all https://mangadex.org/thread/331505/1/#post_3283970 .
It's not "don't really care", it's more the fact that going out of their way to 'fix' what is already a nonissue (due to the existence of VPN's) isn't necessary, especially when the users affected make up a relatively small portion of MD's userbase.
What if the reason MangaDex can't be accessed in Ukraine is because the country itself doesn't exist???
Since Finland doesn't exist, then Ukraine, which is friends with Finland, might not exist either?!
You're on the right track, but it's far more likely that Ukraine does exist (after all, it's documented as having played its part in both World Wars), but is simply one of the main countries involved in covering up Finland's nonexistence.
@bigtiddyoneesan, most free VPNs are pieces of crap for such heavy-traffic sites like MD, esp. for mobiles. I'm not ready for a buying a paid one for literally one site. Also the turning on of VPN sure is easy, yes, but always a nuisance.
