Maou ni Natta node, Dungeon Tsukutte Jingai Musume to Honobono suru - Vol. 1 Ch. 6.2

*he should 'ave grabbed the opportunity acting dumb and crashing to her hugging dat doragon loli

So, the threat ranks are:
[ul][li]Calamity[/li]
[li]Great Disaster Disaster War Man-Made[/li]
[li]Disaster[/li]
[li]Harmful[/li]
[li]Harmless[/li][/ul]

Though, on a more serious note: that is a really weird ranking system, going from "Harmful" to "Disaster"

I mean, a normal wolf could be harmful to a child, or to the livelihood of a farmer if it targets livestock, and a pack could be harmful to a single person, but would a boar be considered a disaster since a single boar could potentially be harmful to a small group of adults, while a single wolf would be harmless to the same group?

And putting aside the spacing issues, why is "Man-made" its own rank? That doesn't really specify how dangerous something is, just the origin.

I mean, a group of bandits would technically be man-made, but if someone created a bunch of golems made of stone and sent them out to kill people, that'd be significantly more dangerous, but still be man-made.

And is it "disaster war", or is disaster the name of two different ranks (not counting great disaster)?

I believe it's a typo, maybe Calamity > Great Disaster > Disaster > War > Man-made > Harmful > Harmless

still feels weird about that man-made rank tho hahah

@Wordsmith Since they called the wolf a Disaster class, and it ate the War class Horn Tiger, I think the 3rd Disaster isn't supposed to be there and is probably a mistranslation. It's probably supposed to be:
Calamity
Great Disaster
Disaster
War
Man-Made?
Something else
Harmful
Harmless
Your point about the Man-Made one is a good one so, lets say that the Man-Made one might be at the same lv as War since they are usually more dangerous than normal monsters and can also be even stronger than that. Otherwise it would have to be another mistake.

From the WN all i know is that there are both 7 adventurer and monster ranks. The adventurers ranks are the same but they changed the name of the monsters ranks.
In the WN, from weaker to stronger:
- non-threat (harmless here)
- hazard (harmful here)
- menace (man-made disaster? here)
- destroyer (war here)
- disaster (disaster here)
- catastrophe (great disaster here)
- calamity (calamity here)
That horned tiger was a destroyer (war here) and they believe Rir to be disaster (also disaster here).

@Tearsax The manga would have been better off using that list, I'd say. But I suppose the manga translator has their own pride.

I go with:
[ul][*]Calamity
[*]Great Disaster
[*]Disaster
[*]War
[*]Man-Made Disaster
[*]Harmful
[*]Harmless[/ul]

So most of the time adventures face either Harmful or Harmless. That's not very detailed. I mean a normal Bear is Harmful as is an angry Unicorn. One could rip you into shreds the other can boil your blood with magic.
And a pack of wolfs and some Bunnies are Harmless and therefore nearly the same dangerlevel, I guess?

That's how I feel after every new interesting novel/manga update...
