Maou no Utsuwa - Vol. 1 Ch. 2

There is a japanese bubble But thx for this one i dont know But this Story have something like the anime „densetsu no yuusha“

I don't know if it's me, the author, or the translation, but I have no idea what's going on.

@Ooweeoo

Which part ?
The fact that this group of kids want to change the world, and are attempting to gather information to do it ?
That they're scheming to keep their real abilities secret?
That's there's effectively a political power struggle in the academy?

It's confusing, but it's only the second chapter, and the underlying story seems like it's probably developed. It's just we as the readers haven't been given full details yet. Don't know why everyone seems to find it so strange? Most stories don't tell every detail of the world and characters at the start, but only reveal it gradually. Well, a lot depends on how the story is told from here, but I'm currently optimistic.

What we know right now:
Kamui somehow developed sacred/healing magic and is hiding it from the academy as a whole. We don't know whether he's going to make it look like Selene did the healing or not though, presumably we'd find out next chapter.

@Robbini I get the overall gist of things, but it feels like we're starting ten chapters in. I know we'll eventually get more context as it goes on, but the order of presenting the info seems off and a bit rushed for how little context we have. Maybe I'm too used to the cookie-cutter plotlines that define the genre, and the "orthodox dark fantasy" label in Chapter 1 gave me the wrong perspective.

Well people are used to some stereotype manga route. You'll see this kind of pattern in some novels. Not gonna say it was too fast. But it was kinda interesting on its own.

you guys are too used to read isekai trash
the pattern in this manga are conspiracies, struggle for power, and politics

I understood everything that happened for the past two chapters. Idk what most ppl are confused about. Kinda good to have something fresh like this. Now I'll have to wait again 😭.

This so far just feels like a series of events stringed together with nothing really given to us yet to make sense of it. Can be great in some stories if executed well but here it's just feeling awkward with the number of characters being introduced and no guidance on how important they are to the story.

I don't think its that ppl don't know what's going on with the story, but the flow of the conversations just seems off or something. .

did artist know the meaning of pacing?
or at least WHAT THE F is going on???
i agree with other, its confusing AF.

it's not a novel where i can binge read, it's only 2 chapter!!
