Hoshi (星) can mean both Star or Planet.

@welcome2atlantis If anything a potential hole in this part of the plot is the fact that he's spent time in all those time freezes. It's possible that could be a problem along the lines of the Doctor Who companions, who are aging while they travel with the Doctor but often being dropped off back home at about the same time they left. Or the compressed time type deals for training in say Dragon Ball and The Gamer. Spend ten hours in here, only a fraction of the time passed out there, you go back out there you've still just spent ten hours somewhere. That stuff adds up.
