Diedhauser is like a perpetual in 40k or is probably stealing life from the inhumans I'd bet. Alternatively, he has a ton of clones and went Palpatine on us. Not to mention his whole "you are already dead moment." I wouldn't be surprised if he purposefully lost the weapon so he could gain more political power and make the inhumans seem worse

Im thinking jerkface is actually a demigod: never said that he was human. He was only an ally of human. He probably has plenty clones, and exists in another plane altogether when not possessing one.

My guess is the big reveal will be that MC wasn’t transported to another world but that he was transported through time and he is still on earth and this is the future (if MC was into astronomy perhaps he would recognize stars assuming it hasn’t been that long and the skies are clear enough; or maybe he will find ruins similar to Earth of his time). Perhaps “inhumans” are in fact humans who did some kind of genetic modification in the past to reach their current state. Diedhauser is probably in the know about such things and doesn’t seem to like them. I don’t know why but I imagine it has something to do with why no spaceships can leave earth and are destroyed in the process.

Perhaps some alien force (they did call them an “invasive species”) made the inhumans as an invasion force and it set humanity back but humans fought back and eventually reached a stalemate and forgot over generations (except Diedhauser who remembers and hates and retained some or most of the tech humans had before the fall and so he has clones with his memories or something) but whatever is leftover (maybe some kind of satellite array that blasts anything leaving planet and since humans aren’t able to destroy it perhaps it requires wiping out inhumans and it will shut down) is still working.
They mentioned that they needed the sword to work as a key for their plan which probably includes more genocide and somehow disabling whatever is stopping them from entering the space age.

In any case, whether they are aliens or whatever they are still people and diehauser dragging this old hatred along so long instead of working together for a solution is stupid. If he is going to ignore possible alternatives so hard he should have stayed dead with the old world.
Since I am fairly confident of my theory it is a tad annoying for author to not feeling write the confirmation of this “classified” info.
