Considering how long ago this flashback happened, Dante is most likely dead either from old age or from battle.

I think Dante has a longer lifespan than the others. Rosalie mentioning that he never grew taller when they did is foreshadowing. He didn't age compared to the others. Riseman will definitely meet him again
