Marry Me! - Vol. 2 Ch. 17 - Big Sister

And here comes the jerk of a little brother. As with all the other males so far in this story, Himari will get along much better with him than her pretend husband, and will end up spending much more quality time with him, as well. No matter what happens, this poor husband always seems to get the shitty end of the stick.

Himari, what do you think you're doing? Why did she enter his bed room? Why did she go to sleep in his bed room?
"Are you hurt anywhere?" "Would you mind staying until he cools off?"
Why is she allowing this total stranger to treat her husband like he's abusing her?
She just happens to fall asleep after she confesses that it wasn't her decision to marry, to a man that's obviously into her. This doesn't even make sense. It's unbelievable. It's just drama for the sake of drama. This whole chapter played out like Himari is actually a psychopath who plays innocent and destroys families.

@Magicat Well, ya know, he's a husband in name only. It's not like she has any romantic feelings (or feelings at all) for him, so why would she care if someone badmouthed him? He's more like an endentured servant come cash machine than a husband, someone who, by law, is forced to completely provide for her without having to appreciate, in the least, what he does so that she can live a carefree lifestyle.

What's wrong with you all? She's just a bit emotionally stunted from her time as a shut-in. And the brother already sees her as a sister, I'm pretty sure. Now, the husband just said something really cruel to his dad, and there better be a good reason. (The little brother is probably also emotionally stunted, come to think of it, otherwise he'd just kick himari out)

Thanks for the 3-chapter upload! I've been missing this series.

On a slight tangent: Anyone got any idea why LOLScans stopped uploading to MangaDex?

@Yautja Well, since wifey and little brother are much closer in age, and wifey doesn't have any emotional attachment the husband, it wouldn't be all that surprising if something were to develop between the two of them.

@FredFriendly
>wifey doesn't have any emotional attachment the husband
Either you never read all the previous chapter or you're a retard, and i'm going to be generous and pick the first option

@DrPavel How nice of you to be sarcastically generous but, sorry, I must be a retard then since I've actually read the first 5 of the 6 available volumes and I still feel this way. She is dependent on the husband (in more ways than one) due to the forced relationship which is, in effect, an arranged marriage where love and emotions are irrelevant. If anything, she has become psychologically dependent on the husband, like the relationship between a prisoner and a kind guard. She said it best herself when she said that if he divorced her, he would be quitting his job.

@FredFriendly Yeah no relationships don't just disappear dependant on how they started. Yes she was forced into the relationship which can start with no love and emotion but that doesn't mean they can't develop. If she has "psychological" problems to depart from the husband the that itself is emotion attachment.
