So I learned this is mostly fiction now and I just wanna know how heavily it deviated from its material

I started reading from around the arc this is based on but from what I remember the junior of the main character (the one who disguises herself) is uninvolved (I’m unclear on her existence) otherwise from what I remember it heavily cuts into filers. For example the mc pretends to get himself knocked out in the tournament, then is brought to a doctor where he eliminates a first group of assassins, takes care of a second group, for some reason he then infiltrates an area restricted to women and pretends to be another assassin and gets chased around for a few chapters by the princess, later he steals the mask of an assassin and arrives to save the king. For the people in the tournament the leader of the quilin guard did betray the Orange Prince to work with Liu Shan Men and the poison was still involved but there was a lot more talk about raping the boss of the mc and the Orange Prince gets beat up by a bunch of old ministers who were insulted by the threats of raping her.
