Maseki Gurume: Mamono no Chikara wo Tabeta Ore wa Saikyou! - Ch. 3

@sjmcc13 Being in the rear doesn't protect from ambushers/assassins. Also, noble heirs often have to actively gain accomplishments in the field to increase their standing/influence. The very fact that the 'discarded' son still has to train for combat shows martial prowess is a big deal, at least to his douchebag father.

Someone is going to lose there title very soon.
You do not just piss off a princess from another country especially one thats is superior to you in all ways possible.

Is it just me or does anyone else feel like he is going to immediately start hugging his daughter and grandson next chapter?

@Nakakure
Nop, we just will have a chapter where his head roll (totally by chance) in the women bathroom when all the beautiful girl of the palace are...

@Leo80221
Nhaaa, not a chance... Right?

Thanks for the translation. I'm really liking where this is going so far.

@HDMI1 i dont think anyone gives "giant perfect blue diamonds" for marriage proposals, and even if they did that custom started with small diamonds which there are actually a lot of. if no diamonds existed except giant blue ones that cost tens of millions there would definitely not be some well known custom of giving diamonds for marriage proposals.

This chapter was realy interesting and good. I like this plot twist.

Just hope it doesnt get too over the top

Okay hold up. So the douchebag dad was married to a princess of a far more powerful country, AND HE NEGLECTED HER AND HER SON TO THE POINT SHE LEFT HIM? Not only that he's a mere Earl, he's also dumb enough to not account the danger of possibly making an enemy of a said neighbouring country. ALSO the the city he was in charge in is near the border of the two country. It's like he wants his head to cut off by the King himself.

@Syanalassa
It just seems super fast to me because 48 hours for them to get the port aren't involved. We know that it's late into the night when they leave the place where the party was held. The MC states in the carriage "It's good to know that we get back to the mansion before the date changes." At the port he asks "Why is the city so rowdy this late at night?" So using that, I was assuming just a few hours went by, maybe 3 hours at most. If a modern battleship is going at an insane speed of 40 knots/hour for 3 hours, then at most it went 140 miles or 225 km. A two day trip (let's be generous and say 36 hours instead of 48 hours) at 5 knots/hour would be 210 miles to reach their destination. The only thing I could think of is that the battleship was patrolling nearby. But that may or may not make sense because Chris is an imperial guard (and the vice captain to boot, so a leadership position). The reason it may make sense is if her mission was to always be in the vicinity for the MC's mother's safety. But then Marche would have also said for people not to be surprised about Chris' return as well if she's been gone for that long.

Anyway, I try not to think about it too much. Just their steam power is super steamy.

One chapter a month is not enough to satisfy my addiction for this manga. why are monthly magazines a thing?

Totes a doting grandpa incoming.

I sure hope the Earl didn't know that Olivia was a royalty, because if so...well, where do we even begin to describe his idiocy?

I am also a king. Of my room.

I see guns. I see ships. I see inferior kingdom. Give me some boom boom and more boom boom BOOOOOOOM!!!!

no! more i want more
can't wait for the next chap

his father must have not know that Olivia is a princess. > this might have a potential to have a twist.

he also offered it to his mother, so, he'll marry his mother? lol
