Maseki Gurume: Mamono no Chikara wo Tabeta Ore wa Saikyou! - Ch. 8

Where do I sign up to be an examinator? beating the shit out of snooty noble kids sounds fucking amazing.

@Confused
It really isnt a cheat ability. He got it by utalizing the world's available resources with one of his racial bonus traits. While his skill may be special, it is not rule breaking by any means.

"Cheat abilities" are things like enhanced growth (ex: +4x XP and bonus stat points), utalize any magic by simply thinking it, infinite mana/stamina, instantly learning things (like all languages, or suddenly aquiring any and all skills just by looking at them once), etc. Basically, if it offers power, effeciency, something that does not currently and would never exist in the world, and/or resources, but with no cost or effort from your part, it can be considered a "cheat ability".

His power is a racial bonus, and was absorbed through the cost of magic stones. Even then he still has to put in effort to even properly use it.

@cor3zone That's what was said but the skills itself speaks out against that. His effort is just mostly just training to not be totally out of control of as his stats rise.

@nfzeta "Gift of Training", which he gained from his insane training/education, is literally a debuff resistance. He trained like crazy, because his asshole of a 'father' ignored him. He couldn't use his absorb without it. He was nowhere near "coddled", he earned every single little bit of his stats. Without his effort, he would not have the stat boosts in the first place. He would be dead.

Edit: clarification. He can drain because of his racial ability. He can deal with the mana because of "Toxin Decomposition EX", but it has an insane drawback. Almost drained him completely just dealing with bacteria. "Gift of Training", earned through sheer effort, allows him to deal with the drawback.

@cor3zone Again, that 'hard work' was purely the author saying so but nothing really shows it. He shows no signs of the effort and the author even timeskips though any training so no reader has a clue what that supposedly looks like and how someone his age could realistically put in more effort than an adult in military training.

So, either this is this school's Aizawa, he's a stupid evil man, or most of those beat up kids actually passed.

That guy is probably just goading the kids to see their fullest potential, and might be a real nice guy. But, he bought a ticket, now he's got to pay the price. I hope he loses at least a hand. Any limb would be acceptable. A finger at the very least.

On the way to evolve like this hha 😂

@nfzeta were shown him training and studying though. the early chapters shows this while later chapters show a more efficient method base on his two skills.

@TheBlueCat if he is goading the kids he is doing a bad job of it. Most kids would become more reticent if an authority figure treats them that way.

Teachers like that make no sense, this is a entrance exam and Ain was shown to be stronger than a Knight, that is more than enough to get into the Academy, so: bad teacher/examiner.

I wonder what his reaction will be once he finds out Llyod is Ain's teacher, and Ain is also the crown prince.

the so called best academy legit has some shitty examiner paid to beat up 7 yr old kids and trash talk them for not being master sw0rDzM4Nzs.

what is this, some even dumber version of sparta?

also, trash talk japanese shotas at your own peril.

I wonder how kids can even get into the academy if the examiner is like that lol. Then again, it will probably be explained in later chapters, and the examiner was probably goading our MC. I have enough faith in this manga’s quality to believe that it will happen

Why are you assuming he really has to beat him to pass the test?
He probably chooses those who showed the most promise and kept their cool when being trash-talked.
