Man, the first chapter was satisfying as hell when I read it...
Now that I've read chapter two, re-reading chapter one feels even better.

The first Prince seems interested in her, so maybe she can actually become the Queen... the Maddog Queen... The Bloody Mad-Dog Queen, Yep, this one feels alright.

From the WN translations it seems like he is more teasing her while shielding her from a fair bit of his idiot brother's abuse, but she is traumatized against the royalty by that point in time.

First Prince...

He's not as bad as his brother, not really, but in some ways he's worse. He's very smart, good at magic, and good at physical stuff -- but he's manipulative and never tries beyond keeping himself from falling behind in the special classes. Except, when he realizes it bothers her, he decides to ace all his classes, combat exam, and magic exam just to out-do her -- except that this causes her to go hell for leather for studying / practicing / learning magic to try and show him up, which might have been his intention in the first place. IIRC he gives off the impression that he feels that anyone not a member of the royal family is a subhuman.
