I didn't think their relationship was a lot deeper than it initially seemed. Whether as really close friends or a couple, it's sweet. The chapter of Maya crying because her mic was muted suddenly feels a lot more serious now.

I thought they were gonna have her reveal that she actually has magic too, but that would've been too far-fetched
