Mazumeshi Elf to Yuboku gurashi - Vol. 1 Ch. 5 - Bazaars and Merchants

Thanks for the chap, was worried chaps would start getting shorter after Ch 4.

Man I never expected plot in this story
this just gets better and better

He's making Elven culture signature dishes for their race
But on the downside(?) he's effecting the political side of things by revealing new 'resources' that effect merchant trade. But then again this world seems extremely low-level, Humans are probably tribes people as well and have no kingdoms considering they're referred as apeman?

Cheese

"This is... cheese. No living being of this world could have created such a thing that humans have had for 3,600 years. It must be a fellow earthling!"

Like, how primitive is this world? Cheese is literally PRE-IRON AGE. It's older than the freaking wheelbarrow

@StormConstantine Honestly speaking I'm amazed that cheese actually got invented the person who thought about it is a genius.

Common sense
Milk easily goes bad so who ever though of permeating turning to cheese is amazing.

you have no escape.

ps: why he keeps calling it "elf style" when he is the one preparing it? and he isn't using any elf's technique to cook

How the hell does he know how to use a fantasy ingredient without trial-and-error. I'm strangely pissed off lol

they'd need a lot of meemees to survive unless they reproduce much faster than goats. Takes a goat about 1 year an a half from conception to market weight. 1 goats meat may last 2 weeks? Then you can make soup from bones

If they lost their shit that much over cheese bread, I can't imagine what they'd do if he made pizza.

he's probably calling it "elf style" because it's using elf ingredients. It's like you use general tso sauce on chicken and suddenly it qualifies as "Chinese food" (even tho general tso chicken isn't even real Chinese food reeee)

Popo is so adorable. She lights up like a Christmas tree every time she takes a bite of Saburou's cooking.
