Yeah, they are implied to be the same universe.
Or at worst connected somehow kinda like how MTG have planeswalker that can jump dimensions to different worlds...
Its highly likely, but was never really explored much because the other manga got axed.
There are a few examples of why bellow.

The old elf leader is one of the cards the "elf deck " MC summons.
Look at the card, as she is summoned in her prime when she was a lot younger then she is in this manga.

Also, while it could be because they share the same author and artist.
The MC´s lost friend who "suddenly disappeared " in elf deck looks a whole lot like the MC from this manga.

All this does, however, have some less than happy implications on the story of both of these mangas.
We know for a fact that the elder and her people have had some bad times from what was explained in the Elf decks story.
But on the other hand, it's possible that both MC´s could be alive as we don´t know how far between the timelines are and they could meet each other again.
Now sure how well Suzuki is going to take it when / if he finds out his friend has become a murderous psychopath tho...
