@KeiosKod I personally think Lefay is from the early 20th century. She mentions Japan and Britain were friends which I think refers to the Anglo-Japanese Alliance which was signed in 1902 and was dissolved in 1923. I agree she doesn't seem to be from too modern a time, but I think she might be from the Interwar Period.

Though it could also be called "tripa" tripe is more often labeled "dobrada" in PT and in SP it could be called "callos, mondongo, guatita, mishque, pancita" or "menudo" depending on where you are
