As for cleaning, I was comparing with the raw of this chapter and noticed that some sfx-s were needlessly cleaned since these sfx-s are not TL (and TS); for example check with the raw 2 pages: down left panel of page 17; the diagram of page 12 (down right panel) has two "explaining".

1. I think they know that. I don't think one random NPC speaks for the authof

2. in that random NPC's defense, I think he's saying it's not significant compared to normal training. e. g. I don't think an improvement from 20 seconds to 19 seconds is as impressive and can be obtained through regular training. Maybe it's to that point when training competitive athletes that 12 to 11 isn't super amazing

I think the whole reason they dismiss her studies is based around the moral concerns of limiting the sexual functions of a person. In this case, a minor in the height of puberty. It's not logical to reject it because it their rejection isn't based on pure logic. So yea, it's BS that it's being downplayed but it's not for "bad writing" reasons. Some people just can't see the forest in the trees.

Maybe if she used an adult subject it'd be easier to process (and I'm betting she used her husband, but he couldn't take it).
