As someone who's tutored kids before, not adding a point to a result that's one point away is criminal. I would pretty much always round up if my students were that close.
@SuperOniichan I wasn't a teacher in a school, but I tutored middle and high school kids while studying at university. I taught math, English, science (physics and chemistry), as well as SAT prep. I have a lot of respect for actual teachers though, and I really enjoyed my stint as a pedagog.
@Kaarme I know, but when I saw students trying their hardest and barely missing the goal we had agreed upon, I couldn't help but give them a little boost for them to feel a sense of achievement. Especially since some of the parents were a bit overzealous with the expectations they had for their children.
@Ohgodpleaseno So we are almost colleagues. I study to become a school psychologist and dream of studying teenage psychology as a scientist. GTO turned out to be an incredibly motivating title.
@Ohgodpleaseno I've tutored before too but majority of the parents of the kids I've tutored are so strict, they'll take what the score their kid gets and basically a "family" discussion afterwards... strict but nothing too serious tbh... xD
all kids that I've tutored are good learners though... proud of 'em brats... xD
@whatever_who_cares he's probably only reading Kairaku Historie in that magazine... the holy part of the magazine itself... xD
as an ADHD (not saying he is one) i can say that the "using something random to steal your focus so you can focus" makes sense (in make case, this thing is music)
