This is a trope, but I like that the guy is genuinely interested in the girl and isn't the 'snarky smart' type. ?

I would also be annoyed by him. I mean he took her agenda without her permission and force her to go to the arcade. Nishio was also mocking her, not to the point of bullying, but dude you're not friends with her, please be more respectful. Also like she wasn't truly being all "he's my rival, I gotta beat him, I hate him". The author describe her more like she was sad and wanted to feel the appreciation and affection of her mom.
Also I feel like he's going to be someone of Tsugumi's past. Meh, nice art, will keep reading until this becomes bad, so far is so so.

Honestly, shes dealing with lot of pressure... tho this might be what the author thought would work best, i would really rather if he at least wasnt so pushy or touchy-feely like that. I dont usually like when one side is completely sway by the other.
