I guess the translator is trying to convey that the taxi driver is talking in some sort of slang dialect or something? Gotta be honest though the translation on what the taxi driver's saying is nigh incomprehensible, it might be better to just translate it with normal words than try to convey the slang/dialect at risk of the message being not conveyed at all.

I agree. It was super uncomfortable reading that. Maybe because I'm not in a english speaking country and am not used to hearing people speak like that.

I absolutely loved the accent going on here. It's very New York and I love it. Chances are the original was similarly incomprehensible to someone not in the area.
