Mieruko-chan - Vol. 3 Ch. 21

This is kind of exactly the thing though, we all assumed he was murdering cats because their spirits look creepy while following him around, but several other instances in this series have tried to tell us to not judge all of these things by appearances alone. Some of them looked like horror movie monsters but weren't actually the bad guys. Some of them look like sweet, innocent children... until they notice you looking at them. Trusting our eyes, or rather her eyes, isn't always the best option.

Got a lot of question in mind, imo base on the last chapter cause the teacher's mother does not want him to make friend he pick up the stray cat and take care of it until her mother find out and kill it then her mother died and he wants to take care of another cat but they keep on dying ,he doesnt know why but it was her mothers ghost who killed all the cat he tried to take care off and he get really mess up cause everything he values goes away making him believe he does not deserve happiness. well thats my imagination. i hope the dude dont die if he is a good guy.

If this is another fakeout and he likes cats it's going to be so lame.

To those who think he hasn't harmed any cats - reread chapter 19 and look closely.
Page 3, bottom-right corner of the bottom-left panel - we can see what appears to be the head of a bloodied cat on his table, as well as blood splatters on the wall.
Page 6 - we see a missing cat poster, as well as a PSA about violence against animals that asks residents to report suspicious activity.
And in this chapter Miko notices that the amount of cat ghosts is increasing every day.

Also, I personally think that having him be a good guy all along would be a cheap twist. Especially since we already had one like that (but well-executed) in chapter 5 with the scary-looking Yakuza guy.

I'm not going to be happy if this guy turns out to be good all along. We finally had something close to an arc villain and now it looks like they're going to change it to his mom being the REAL EVIL. It feels like a cop out just to create a "gotcha!" moment. "Aha, you thought his dead eyes, cold demeanor, and all the hints that he murders cats meant he was a villain, but it was me, Dio! his mom's ghost!"
