And yeah she really, really doesn't know what she's getting into at all yet. It'll be interesting if at some point that stops being treated somewhat as comedy and she gets some idea of the real horror of what's going on. It'd give Miko a real peer, assuming it doesn't result in mental breakage of course.
 
But have they actually ever confirmed what ghosts can do to you if you acknowledge them?

Romm is a cold stone badass... He's def gonna finesse Miko and Hana to his trap. In that panel, looks like he made a demon contract with the earth kami, you can see the two shrine maiden youkais, and all that when he's a kid.... Can't wait for his origins... Maybe he was just like Miko, but he got an affinity on seeing grotesque spiritual beings...

So my take from this is, Romm can see even the powerful spirits as well as auras (or knows of auras and what generates them). Every time we're shown the crying woman seems to be from Romm's perspective. When we see through Julia's eyes all we can see is an aura in the same location. I notice that Romm uses a lot of misdirection when dealing with spirits, throwing the stones casually behind him whilst deliberately speaking to Julia for example. In every panel we see him near a spirit his eyes are always pointed in the other direction, just as Miko does. From the flashback scene it seems that a younger Romm visited the forbidden shrine and has been dealing with this nightmare for a long time.
 
@alacaelum Do you remember where it showed Mieruko missing weaker spirits? I think I remember her seeing a little guy with a coin under a vending machine early in the story, so I was thinking she could see small spirits too. But I agree, her power is definitely unusual. Maybe its sudden appearance had something to do with her dad's death?
 
I see, so he uses the tour as an excuse to find mediums while also scamming the fake ones.
 
@sc001 I think i was wrong about the weaker things, after rereading a little it is more like she can see in a category, she can see spirits but can't see auras.
 
@Ryomi to me he looked more like he was testing his exorcising tools with his customers, half his products didn't survive the tour and he now needs to make new ones.
 
so like he's a tool maker who know of the spirits existence, and the tools that broke/changed are the one that actually works, while the glasses that stay the same after the tour are deemed "need more work" but he himself can't precisely see the dark spirits
he is more limited, closer to Julia, but he can see something (at least the fox spirits)
 
This is the best horror manga I've seen nowadays. Full of twists. It seems the author have seen on the other side of the mirror.
 
I think he is also able to see them clearly like Mieruko and could possibly be a relative of hers since they look similar but this is just a guess. Can't wait for the next chapter to be released
