Migi & Dali - Vol. 3 Ch. 16 - A Terrifying Punishment

If this was a Oneshot it would've been one of those that give you a powerful impressions like Chi No Wadachi but they killed the vybe it's too extended...Anyway...

@Catgrills If you need corporal punishment to be able to teach a fundamental subject such as mathematics you probably need to reconsider your career choices. Most of the math teachers complaining about their students simply do a terrible job at teaching math. Now this may not be the case in your class, and you might genuinely have spoiled monkeys as students, but I doubt it given the probability that everyone's a monkey versus you doing a bad job.

@criver I'm only thinking about certain students, some are pretty cute and doing their job. I love teaching, and this is only the beginning of my career, but some students are just fucking brat that just need a good scolding.

@criver Some brats won't ever listen to the teacher, because they either don't care about school (for various and/or different personnal reasons), or know the teach can't do anything to them (protection with influent/extra-protective/dangerous parents, or don't care about school sanctions) or even worse, are simply fucking up the lesson because they can, for the lulz.
Some times, you can't throw any amount of carrots and it won't solve a damn thing. That's why you need the stick approach.

@proulout To me that just screams incompetence. I've taught math to kids and it's pretty easy to do so as long as you make the subject interesting. If you're just fulfilling a quota though and regurgitating the material in the textbook then it's pretty obvious kids will not be interested. If a grown up man, with all his experience advantage, cannot teach children without requiring corporal punishment then he's simply not cut out for this profession. Unfortunately this has become the norm and not the exception, and the majority of teachers (based on both personal experience and statistics) are simply incompetent, and to complement that there are no robust enough measures in place to measure their competence (not to mention that there aren't enough 'good' teachers either, so beggars can't be choosers really).
If you have a PhD in math and have actually done the effort to study pedagogy and read the recent literature on the subject then I can guarantee that you won't have any trouble not only with teaching kids, but also teenagers, and even uni students.

Yay for corporal punishment!
Children are dumb little shits and not only deserve to be, but also should be beaten.
In the education of children both the carrot and the stick are essential. Mindlessly pampering a child is as destructive as excessive violence (there is a line between hurting and injuring). If they don't learn discipline, they're bound to become failures.

I was 100% sure there will be a shitstorm in the comments.

Who really needs beating are parents of those shits.

@criver yeah but teaching in a nice/normal school and delinquent school is really different. when I was in high-school my home room teacher told me when she was in training period she get assigned teaching in a bad rep school known for delinquent students and its really hell... they dont even listen to teacher and heck even bullying the teacher them self by mocking and mob lynching and succesfully made one of her colleague crying

Maybe you should try teaching those type of school if there is any in your city hehehe
